Doncaster Racecourse

Doncaster Racecourse officially re-opened in September 2007, after a £32 million refurbishment. This 20-month project has transformed the Grade 1 Yorkshire track into one of the most modern and impressive facilities in the country.

Located approximately one mile south east of Doncaster town centre, within the defined urban centre the racecourse plays host to many prestigious events, including the Ladbrokes St Leger Festival featuring the world's oldest Classic, the St Leger.

The racecourse is one of Doncaster’s major business and leisure assets and is the only regional venue that promotes South Yorkshire to a worldwide audience on a regular basis. As well as putting South Yorkshire on the map, Doncaster Racecourse serves the national and international market by generating income from the racing, exhibition, conference and hospitality facilities.

The recent redevelopment includes:
-  Replacement of the large grandstand including the conference and exhibition centre.
-  Refurbishment the remaining stands
-  Relocation of Racecourse Stables
-  Lads and Lasses hostel
-  Relocation of weighing room
-  Parade ring alterations
-  Laying of a new track
-  Relaocation of Doncaster Bloodstock Sales.

A 120 room 4 star business class Hotel and luxury apartments are also in their future plans.
