Strata Completes Boothferry Park Buy
Monday 21st November 2011
Doncaster-based house builder Strata has completed the purchase of Hull City FC's former Boothferry Park home.
The company said 234 new homes will be built over a period of seven years on the ten-acre site. Boothferry Park has been lying partly derelict since the last match was played there in 2002.
"We are thrilled to bring our stylish new homes to Hull and to be a part of Boothferry Park's heritage," said Strata managing director Andrew Weaver.
"Our development will seek to recognise the importance of the former stadium and this will be sympathetically reflected within the site.
Clearance and remediation work will begin within a few weeks, Strata said, with the first phase of homes planned to go on sale in spring 2012.
