Jobs Boost for Doncaster
The Car Shop, The UK’s leading used car supermarket group has landed in Doncaster, bringing a much-needed jobs boost to the area. Over 100 jobs have been provided for local workers at The Car Shop, which opened its doors on Monday 16th November at a state-of-the-art showroom at Trax Park, Decoy Bank South (close to the Keepmoat Stadium and Lakeside Village shopping Centre). The opening ceremony was performed by Jonathan Wood, Doncaster Cabinet Member for Business who said: “Even in the middle of a recession there are companies out there looking to invest and create jobs. By choosing Doncaster The Car Shop has shown confidence that we are a town going places.”
The company, which already has thriving branches in Cardiff, Swindon and Northampton has invested £7.2 million in the site and will be offering up to 1,000 top quality used cars of all makes and models at the new Doncaster showroom, backed by a ‘Lowest Price Guarantee.’ Job roles provided at Doncaster include Business Managers, Sales Executives and Mechanics, as well as clerical staff and managerial positions.
The Car Shop’s Group Operations Director, Jonathan Dunkley, said “We’re delighted to be able to create jobs for so many local people during this time of economic uncertainty. We have put together an enthusiastic and experienced team at Doncaster, who are all looking forward to offering our customers the best prices on quality used cars in the area.
