Flights take off at Robin Hood Airport
Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield has announced a number of new flights through Thomson and First Choice.
Flights from the airport to Monastir in Tunisia were launched only two months ago from Robin Hood Airport for summer next year.
Thomson and First Choice are to offer an extra weekly flight to the North African destination, as well as operating an additional weekly flight to Dalaman in Turkey, after seeing high demand and strong early booking sales for its 2010 services.
Jodi Stow, marketing and communications manager for Robin Hood Airport said: “This is great news for the airport and a welcome boost for travellers from across the region.
“The total Thomson and First Choice capacity for summer 2010 will now exceed our summer 2009 capacity with almost 6,000 extra seats on sale.
“We work closely with Thomson and First Choice and are pleased that strong early bookings have created the demand for these extra flights."
The new Monastir flight will operate on Sunday’s from May 23 to October 31, with the extra Dalaman flight operating on Thursday’s from May 27 for 23 weeks.
Thomson and First Choice will also offer new weekly flights to Antalya in Turkey, and Lanzarote from May 2010 from Robin Hood Airport Doncaster Sheffield.
